Volunteering in Ghana

Here are some photos from my volunteer trip to Ghana! I was there from May 20 to June 11.
I volunteered with Blue Med Africa (bluemedafrica.org), an amazing organization that provides free healthcare to local impoverished people.
I did educational & health outreach, visited rural communities & orphanages, and worked at a local hospital.

Chickens
The chickens that lived in the yard. They woke everyone up at 3 a.m. every morning!

'Leave'
Our adoptive cat named 'Leave' because everyone kept shouting it at her!

Kids
Adorable kids! There were goats everywhere, wandering around in the street and on the side of the road.

Goodbye
The last photo I took in Ghana. I'm so thankful for how kind & welcoming everyone was. I miss it every day!

Now, I'm in Madrid studying Spanish. I spend the mornings in class, the afternoon sightseeing, and the evenings with my host family. I'm in my second week out of nine & am so thrilled to be here! Next time I will post more pictures :)
